Fr. Jack Campbell, Parochial Vicar

I was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio, the youngest of six boys, and the son of the best parents in the world. After graduating from high school, my mother passed away, and I enlisted in the USAF. After my discharge, I followed my passion; cooking. I attended New England Culinary Institute in Montpellier, VT, and graduated with a culinary degree, and a desire to go and see! I travelled and cooked all around the world, mostly out west for twenty years-or-so, and not so invested in my faith. My most memorable job was working as one of three Catering Chefs for the television show “Touched by an angel,” filmed in Salt Lake City Utah. But, cooking was not enough. “Thou hast made us for thyself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it finds its rest in thee.” These words by St. Augustine sums up my calling. I knew there was more, so I knocked, and the Lord answered with abundant grace. I applied for the seminary with the help of Fr. Will Ganci, Fr. John Kelly, and Mnsgr. Steve Bosso, and the blessing of Bishop Parkes. Two years of undergraduate study at UWF, five years of seminary studies, and the help and prayers of family, friends, priests, and parishioners, I am where I am. Parochial Vicar of St. Paul Catholic Church. Thanks be to God!
